2nd Annual Andrews Institute Upper Extremity Symposium

Join us for a two-day didactic course focused on specific injuries/conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow.  Topics will include dynamic evaluation techniques, cutting edge treatment advances, and anatomy dissection presentations with specific case studies.  Lectures and labs will develop skills in discharge testing for elite athletes and the injured worker/weekend warrior.  Attendees will have the opportunity to bring specific questions and cases as they participate in expert panel discussions each day.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:


  1. Demonstrate mastery of anatomy of injuries/conditions of the shoulder and elbow.
  2. Select and perform appropriate evaluative components for specific shoulder and elbow injuries based on current evidence.
  3. Determine and refine best practice treatment plans for rotator cuff repairs, elbow fracture/dislocations and elbow tendon injuries.
  4. Understand current concepts in Plasma Rich Protein as it applies to the upper extremity.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of objective Upper Extremity SFMA, pre-sports, functional, and discharge testing.

Students will be notified of cancellations within 20 calendar days of the course start date. If a course is cancelled for any reason, AREF will return any prepaid registration fees. If course cancellation is received at least 21 calendar days prior to the scheduled start date of the course a 100% refund will be provided minus credit card, processing, and regonline fees.
