The Foundation of the Andrews Way

For decades, Dr. James Andrews has championed a simple but powerful belief: advancing patient care requires continual investment in research, education, and innovation. This vision laid the groundwork for what would become the Andrews Research & Education Foundation (AREF), an organization dedicated to improving musculoskeletal health through scientific discovery, physician education, and community impact.

2004

A New Vision Takes Shape

Plans were announced for the development of a world-class orthopaedic and sports medicine campus in Gulf Breeze, Florida. The vision extended beyond clinical care, emphasizing research, education, and innovation as pillars of the future organization.

2007

The Andrews Institute Opens

The Andrews Institute campus opened in Gulf Breeze, creating a destination for orthopaedic care, research, and education. The campus established the infrastructure necessary to support future growth in scientific research and physician training.
